We work with two leading scheme providers: Cyclescheme and Bike2Work. These schemes available through your employer will allow you to save up to 42% on the final purchase cost of your new cargo bike and equipment such as locks and lights. Follow the links above for more details and how to submit you application or contact us for more information.
The Green Commute Initiative is the latest scheme on the market, especially aimed at electric bikes. Even after new guidance were issued (see below) this is still the only provider that offers schemes for purchase over £1,000, making e-bikes possible and there are no end of scheme fees to reduce employee savings. Find out more here.
Update June 2019: It was widely understood that there was indeed a cap of £1,000 limiting access to some e-bikes including cargobikes. However, Michael Ellis, the new Minister of State (Department for Transport) whose portfolio includes cycling, has issued new guidance. All cycle-to-work schemes can indeed be used on purchased over £1000 as long as the retailers and employers are registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Small independent shops, who are not registered with the FCA will continue to rely on organisations like the Green Commute Initiative to help customers with purchasing a cargobike, as they have FCA permission for consumer hire.
In partnership with the Ride It Away Scheme and V12 Finance, we are able to offer our customers financial options to help them purchasing a brand new bike. There is a range of finance options available from 0% APR to 15.9% APR over varying periods commencing with 6 months. For more information, do get in touch or check the Ride It Away website.
Also, do not forget that from time to time we have some second hand cargo bikes for sale. These bikes would have been thoroughly checked and serviced to ensure their quality matches our other products’ high standards. Keep checking our pre-loved page for listings. If you are after a specific model, let us know and we’ll keep our eyes open.
