A test ride is always the best start. We’ll talk you through all options, pros and cons of each cargo bike, you’ll test ride as many bikes as you like, and we’ll answer all your questions. BOOK A TEST RIDE or give us a call on 020 7935 6934 to talk about cargo bikes. 

We will refund up to 1 weeks hire towards a new bike purchase. 

You will need your passport (or DL) to collect your bikes. Locks, lights, rain tents, helmets and kids helmets are included.

The bike I want to hire is not available what now?

Click a specific bike to see availability in a calendar view. This will be useful if you are flexible with your dates but looking to hire a specific bike.

Where do I collect my bike(s)?

Our address is London Green Cycles, 4 Chester court, Albany street, NW1 4BU.

Do we need to use helmets?

Helmets are not compulsory in the UK, therefore it is up to you to decide. We can provide both adult and kids helmets free of charge (subject to availability).

• What bikes do you rent out?

Electric Christiania bike tricycles, we have 2 and 4 seaters suitable for transporting up to 4 children.

Electric Long Tail cargo bikes where your children sit behind you on a long bench or couple of seats. This option is best suited for children 4 years old or over.

Electric folding bikes for adults and teenagers, suitable for all.

Pedal powered conventional bicycles, hybrids. 

Electric rickshaw able to carry 1 or 2 adults + rider subject to the overall weight limit. Often used for sightseeing with an elderly parent or a friend. 

Can I ride in cycle lanes with one of your bikes?

All of our bikes including the Christiania tricycles do fit into cycle lanes however it is up to you to judge. It is not compulsory to use cycle lanes at all times.

How and where do I lock/ park the hire bike(s)?

All our hire bikes must be locked using the locks provided at all times. A bike must be locked to a fixed object such as a bike parking stand, lamp post or a solid fence. Traffic signs are not suitable.

Can I extend my hire?

You may need to extend up to 24 hours before the end of your hire period (subject to availability). Unless an extension has been approved and paid for it is your responsibility to return the bike to us at the end of the original hire period end date/ time.

Do you deliver hire bikes ?

It may be possible to have the bike delivered or picked up, please enquire before booking your hire. We reserve the right to not provide a delivery service at any time.

What happens if I cannot return the bike(s) on time?

Most of our bikes are going out to another family the same day the bike is returned, please consider others when planning your return. It is important to return the bike on time. You will be charged a single day hire fee each day until the bike is returned.

What happens if I have an accident or damage the bike?

Please report any issues to us immediately. We will do our very best to help at all times. Call us on 020 7935 6934 (within our opening hours) or email us on hire@londongreencycles.co.uk (outside our opening hours).

What if I get a puncture on the hired bike?

Punctures are unfortunately a part of cycling. Any bicycle shop should be able to repair a puncture or replace the inner tube. We do not cover the cost of puncture repairs or any other associated costs, however we will repair the puncture free of charge if you bring it back to us.

Can I return the bike(s) early?

Yes you can but please note that the hire fees are not refundable. Our staff may agree to postpone your hire in certain circumstances so please enquire.
