Christiania Light 7-speed Cargo Bike

I’m selling my much loved Christiania Light 7-speed cargo bike after almost three amazing years. It has comfortably transported our two children and has mainly been used for short family journeys.

The bike was purchased new in November 2023 by London Green Cycles and converted to electric in February 2025 using the Pendix eDrive system.

The bike has been regularly serviced by London Green Cycles and is in a good overall condition, with only normal cosmetic signs of use. The hood is in excellent condition with no marks or tears. It’s been stored outside but the frame remains rust-free.

The electric assist is fully functional once connected, but the battery connection can occasionally be temperamental. In practice, it sometimes connects immediately and other times needs to be reinserted a couple of times before the motor engages. Sometimes the motor only engages a few minutes into the ride. Once connected, the assistance is reliable throughout the journey.

The system was inspected by London Green Cycles during its full service in February 2026, and they traced the issue to the battery (a replacement battery is available through London Green Cycles for approximately £600).

The bike is, of course, fully rideable without electric assistance.
